Prom Night Problems

It’s Christmas time and prom is coming up at our school.

At the prom you are supposed to look gorgeous. Why? I don’t know. I never really got why you have to be so perfect all the time.

I bought the dress I’m wearing to prom a couple of days ago. It’s a dark, royal blue with small diamond-looking pearls on it. I tried on three dresses in the fitting room, and I think I look amazing in this dress I picked out.

But here’s the problem: “I look fat in my dress.” and “I’m not pretty.”

Basically girls’ self-confidence about their appearance.

I thought that I would give my point of view on this problem, because I know that a lot of young girls might struggle with self-confidence about their appearance, including me.

1. First of all, you probably don’t look as fat as you think in your dress.

2. You aren’t supposed to be as thin as a straw. It’s ok to not exactly have a flat stomach. It just means that you are a human and not a barbie doll.

3. Wear a dress that makes you feel confident. Not what the others think is beautiful.

This is probably a very stupid thing to say, because I know how hard it is to like yourself when you don’t. Think that you are beautiful. In your own way. And remember that being yourself is the most beautiful thing you can wear.

Crying Is Important

Hey guys!

A picture will be up later today, but I want to talk about something that happened last night.

Yesterday was not a great night for me. I’m sometimes struggling with my self-confidence, and I felt really bad about myself last night. I’m not even gonna lie. I cried. A lot. I had a lot of questions about my life. I’m not sure what I’m gonna do in the future, and I was a little bit scared of how it’s gonna be when I grow up.

But everyone has these days and it’s completely normal. Especially if you are a teen like me.

If you feel the same way, here are some things I do to feel better. I hope it helps.

1. Cry
If you need to cry, just do it. Don’t be afraid, crying is good for you! Just let it all out and it will feel so much better afterwards. There’s nothing worse than keeping the sadness inside.

2. Do something that makes you happy
After letting all the tears you have out, do something that makes you happy. It could be anything; a hobby, watching a favorite TV-show, or in my case it’s watching my favourite youtubers and eating candy.

At the End of the Day

This is something new I’m trying out. I’ve been feeling like giving up a lot recently, and I found it really hard to speak positive about what happened in the day.

So I have started doing this thing where I at the end of the day, write down my favourite moment of the day, things I want to improve about myself, my lifestyle or whatever and some questions I’m gonna try to find the answers for.

This has helped me a lot, and I highly recommend you try this out if you feel like your life sucks. Even the smallest positive thing makes you feel better, and when you formulate them while writing on a paper, you’ll feel so much better.

And to you who knows about someone who is going through a rough time: Saying hi to them, giving them compliments and just speaking friendly to them, definitely makes their day.
